March 3, 2005
TROY, Mich., March 3 --
WHAT: Advance comment on the unemployment rate announcement provided
by global staffing company Kelly Services.
WHO: Carl Camden, president and chief operating officer, Kelly
Services.
DETAILS: The following commentary is offered in advance of the February
unemployment rate announcement due Friday from the U.S.
Department of Labor:
"We expect to once again see a modest jobs report this month
with the economy continuing to reveal a steady demand for
employees. Looking ahead, we anticipate the next four to five
months will deliver solid economic growth.
"We are seeing demand for staffing services increasing across
the job spectrum including a rise from temporary staffing into
permanent jobs. There is an ongoing need for credentialed
professionals in the health care industry, while manufacturing
is still showing a slow down and is not expected to return to
past levels as companies are meeting production requirements
with fewer employees."
