Kelly Services Temporary Employees of the Year Selected

July 12, 2006

Rochester, N.Y. Resident Chosen From More Than 480,000 U.S.-Based Employees

TROY, MI, Jul 12, 2006 -- The search for the temporary employees that exemplify the true character of global staffing provider, Kelly Services, Inc., has ended. James Jones was selected as one of three 'Temporary Employees of the Year' as part of Kelly Services' 60th Anniversary celebration.

Born and raised in Rochester, N.Y., Jones began his career as a quality assurance and production control planner in the medical and professional division of a photographic/chemical company. In 1996, after a 25-year career with the company, he attended Rochester Institute of Technology and completed a B.S. in Business. Married, with two sons, Jones is also Certified in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association of Operations Management (APICS).

Jones joined Kelly Services in July 1996, to take a position as a planner. Currently, he is employed through Kelly's engineering staffing division, Kelly Engineering Resources, as a buyer/planner in the medical device industry. During his tenure with the company, he's earned high praise for his performance, dependability, and attention to detail. In fact, some Kelly customers specifically request him by name whenever the need for his skill set arises.

"Jim has exemplified the character of Kelly in many ways -- both on the job and in his personal life," said David Hart, branch manager in Rochester, N.Y. "Not only is he a dependable worker for us at Kelly, but he's also always there to offer compassion to those less fortunate."

In addition to his stellar reputation with Kelly, Jim is an outstanding citizen in the town of Greece, New York, where he spends his free time volunteering as an Emergency Medical Technician. Over the years, he's been involved with many charitable initiatives, including fundraising events for children with special needs; caring for the terminally ill at a local hospice; and providing emotional comfort for these ill patients and their families.

"We were very impressed by Jim and his many accomplishments in both his professional career and community involvement," said Michael Morrow, senior vice president of corporate marketing, Kelly Services. "On behalf of the entire Kelly Services family, we'd like to congratulate Jim and thank him for representing the true character of our company."

One overall winner was selected from each of Kelly's three staffing divisions: U.S. Commercial, Professional, Technical and Staffing Alternatives (PTSA), and International. As 'Temporary Employee of the Year,' Jones will receive a cash prize and be honored during an awards ceremony, taking place in October at Kelly's world headquarters in Troy, Mich.
